Setting up Lighthouse tracking in EZtrack
1. Add your Tracker and set up your referential

Turn on your Tracker by pressing the Power button for 2 seconds. The light will turn blue.

Plug in your Bluetooth dongle to your computer.
Warning
Make sure that nothing can obstruct the link between the dongle and the Tracker.

Click on the Pair button in the “Tracking devices” section and wait for your Tracker to appear.

Choose an Origin point for your studio where your Tracker can be seen by all the Base stations.

In the “Referential definition” section, click the Basic panel, choose your Tracker in the Device dropdown list then click on the Set button.

Move the Tracker at least 30 cm (12 in) away from the Origin position to the Front.

Click on the Set button again.

Move the Tracker at least 30 cm (12 in) away from the Origin point to the Right.

Click on the Set button again.

Measure the height of your Tracker from the ground.
Note
Remember that the origin point of a Tracker is located on its base.

Click the Offset panel and set the up value by entering the height you just measured.

Click on the Compute button.
2. Create and configure the rig
You will define what objects are going to be tracked by EZtrack.

In the Rig list panel, click on the ++ button to add all your devices to your setup shown as different rigs.

Click on the + Add button located beneath the rig list. This will create a “Node” component (a rig is composed of node components).

Select your Tracker tab in the Rig list panel as you want to send its tracking data.
Now we need to configure the synchronization method and the network location to which the data will be sent.

If you have a genlock generator connected to EZtrack (you can check it by hovering over the Genlock status located on Header), select “Genlock” as the type in the “Network Configuration” section. If not, select “Internal” and any frequency you want (default is 25Hz).

In the first Output field, type in the IP address of the computer running your render engine.

In the second Output field, type in the port used to receive the data.

Click on the start button.
EZtrack is now set up correctly. You should now receive the tracking data in your render engine.
3. Save your configuration
Now you can save your configuration in a file to skip this setup the next time you use EZtrack.
To do so:

Click on the save button at the bottom of the Left-side menu, a pop-up window should appear.

Type in the desired filename in the Filename field.

Click on the Save button.
4. Load your configuration
The next time you want to use EZtrack with this specific setup you just made:

Click on the Load button just above the Save one, a pop-up window should appear.

The files previously saved are listed on the left of the pop-up window, click on one to select it.

Click on Load.
